(click on the image for full view)
Log in to Cisco.com and download CCP from here
Run the app as Administrator to install it but do not run it just after install.
Now go to Windows search bar and type Configure Java and open the app.
Go to Security > Edit Site List and Add http://127.0.0.1:8600 and hit OK.
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Compatibility View Settings and Add http://127.0.0.1 and hit Close.
Now run CCP desktop shortcut as Administrator and it will be working fine for most PCs if your Java & Flash is up to date.
If not working well, Following steps will also be needed..
Update Java to the latest version from Java.com
Check Adobe Flash Player works for Internet Explorer or update it. You can check it here

ReplyDeleteJust wanted to say thanks for your blog article on this topic. It was indeed helpful.
To recap to get CCP 2.8 (current version at the time of writing (October ,2017) working in a win10 environment:
1)You must get the Java Runtime engine installed. Don't even bother to do try anything unless this is working. JRE is a pre-requisite for CCP.
2)You also have to get IE to show up and work in Win10. It is kinda hidden because MS obviously wants you to use MS Edge rather than IE, but its there and there are quite a few articles online telling you how to get it working.
3)Even after you get ie working, as your article shows you must get it to support java as a plugin...very important.
4)WRT Adobe Flash, articles online suggested this is builtin to Win 10 now and indeed I experienced no problem with than component. You link to the test was very welcome though.
5)After al that is done and you have hopefully checked everything on Roshan's Blog, you should be good to go. Fire up CCP 2.8 (as Administrator ) and bingo...it works.
